Our Values

We Value People

All people matter to God, therefore, all people matter to us. All people need to meet and know His love and grace. As a church, we are not interested in being the biggest church or having the nicest church building, we are interested in people and their lives, people are the real church. We also value people wherever they are in their relationship to God.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that woever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal live (John 3:16)

We value prayer

Simple communication with God, or prayer, is the lifeline between God and us. When we pray God works. We encourage both individual and corporate prayers and are committed to be a praying church.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. (Colossians 4:2)

We value relevant worship

Passionate, relevant worship creates an environment that helps us become aware of God’s presence and through this to become more aware of our connection with him. Out corporate worship is designed to be inviting to all people who are seeking to grow spiritually or who are seeking a new relationship with God. We seek to have worship services that both embrace contemporary and also celebrate the rootedness of songs, liturgies, and confessions used by the Church throughout the centuries. We also acknowledge that true worship continues as a lifestyle serving God and those created in His image. We acknowledge that we are commissioned “to look after orphans and widows in their distress” and others who are in need of God, showing the community the love God has shown to us.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude inyour hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16)

To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. (1 Corinthians 9:21-22)

We value family and community

Marriages and families are instituted by God. It is our desire to encourage and support families in a world where it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain godly families.

Genuine community means living in caring relationships that are guided by biblical principles and grounded in spiritual accountability. We value real relationships knowing how messy and hard that can be.

Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

Carry each other’s burdens, in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)

We value service

Jesus demonstrated that the most influential life is a sacrificial life. We desire to be the visible hands and feet of God in this world. Meeting and helping the poor, the lost, and the needy, as Christ called us to do.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4:10)

We value teaching and spiritual growth

We hold fast to teaching people the truth of God’s love through relevant messages from His holy Word, the Bible. In doing so, training us to live our lives in service to Him daily.

Spiritual growth means that we are becoming, looking, and acting more and more like Jesus Christ. Growth is the evidence of Jesus Christ in our lives, through the working of the Holy Spirit.

All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Be imitators of God, therefore as dearly beloved children (Ephesians 5:1)

We value identifying and using God’s gifts for his kingdom

The Bible says God has givena spiritual gift to each of us. We will empower and encourage ourmembers to use these gifts to reach others and to show God’s love.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. (Romans 12:6)
