The Bible teaches that God is with us. Even one of Jesus’ nick names is “Immanuel” meaning God with us. But how? How is He with us? Over the next two Sundays and then the Christmas season we will explore what it means that God is with us. This comes at a pivotal time for Pathway, as we end our two week fast and ask what God revealed. We sought His face over a building project that seems a near term impossibility. Today we hear from you how He revealed Himself. Our message this week is “God with us in the mission.” Is He? If so, how?

They have contributed and will prep and deliver meals to an additional 844 more people through names supplied by Mental Health of America, another Chamber friend. Please do not just hang out with whom you know as we prep meals together at Lencioni's on Wednesday. Last Sunday I set you loose to fast and pray after only one 15 minute teaching on fasting. The rest of the teaching was building project information. So, let’s return one more time to the topic and hear more about the blessings of a fast. This teaching will be disconnected from the building project. I’m encouraged by how many of you are participating and the sharing you’ve done on the email chain and at the adult family night group. God is blessing this commitment that we’ve made to Him and to each other. Continue to petition Him over a building project and be aware of what He does inside of you personally as you redirect your cravings to Him for a spiritual filling.
If you didn’t begin to fast last Monday, how about joining us beginning today? The fast will run through breakfast time on November 19. I suspect we will see Thanksgiving in a very different way this year between fasting and delivering 1,500 meals with our St. John Chamber friends.

On Sunday we continue in our current sermon series, "It's a Revolution." Our message is "Hopeless Matthew" and is based on Luke 5:27-32. It's a weakness for many, if not most, raised in a covenant environment, sharing our faith with those who've left the faith or are new to Christian faith. Today we watch Matthew in action. Matthew strayed and sold his soul, but Jesus called him back. Watch him go on a mission for Jesus! And join him in doing the same.

Calling everyone 7th grade and up to assist with splitting, packaging and stacking of firewood at the Crete wood splitting site. Come when you can; leave when you must. The wood lot doesn't have an exact address. It is best to use Universal Steel's address located at 225 W. Burville Road in Crete for GPS. Upon your arrival to Universal Steel, follow these directions: At Hartman and Burville Road, go South on Hartman. Hartman dead ends into a field . . . turn right on a stone road. You will go back about 1/4 mile and then turn right through a gate and go all the way to the back of the lot. Look for Faith and Action signs to guide you!
On Sunday we continue in our current sermon series, "It's a Revolution." Our message is "When Fixing is Not Enough" and is based on Luke 5:17-26. Do we really want to get well or do we just want the pain to stop? Again our nation was hit by another tragedy, and the temptation is to pray “Stop the bad stuff, Lord. Give us the good stuff.” However, what if Jesus answers our deepest needs rather than simply eliminating the pain? Remember, He came to usher in the season of the Lord’s favor! This is more than stopping the bad stuff and giving us the good. It’s fixing our greatest problem.
BUILDING FUND OFFERING THIS SUNDAY – "There is a time for everything," according to Ecclesiastes 3:1, "and a season for every activity under heaven.” Your leadership and building teams believe "the time to build" is getting closer.
